Specialist safeguarding and risk management support for vulnerable children and young people

We provide tailored support for children’s homes and other children’s services, recognising that many children in these settings are vulnerable due to past experiences, additional needs, disability, or family circumstances. While these environments promote independence and development, children rely on staff and leadership to provide safe, consistent, and compassionate care.

We understand the challenges this creates, from safeguarding and risk management to maintaining dignity, promoting emotional wellbeing, and supporting positive development. Our approach helps strengthen safeguarding arrangements, implement practical risk management strategies, and ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including the Children Act 1989 and 2004, Keeping Children Safe in Education 2025, and relevant Ofsted guidance.

Respite services for children and young people provide short-term care for those who may have complex needs or vulnerabilities. Even brief stays require careful safeguarding, risk management, and attentive staff to ensure safety, wellbeing, and continuity of care. By strengthening systems and supporting staff, these services can create environments where young people feel secure and supported, while families have confidence that their children are safe and well cared for during their stay.
